Valarie Stanley

Valarie Stanley retired from Yale University on December 31, 2021 after 47 years. Her last position there was Senior Director of Institutional Equity and Accessibility. Currently she is President of the Board of Directors of the Josephine Jarvis Gray Senior Housing, Inc., Senior Warden and Chair Personnel and the Budget Committee, lector, and lay delegate at St. Luke’s Episcopal Church in New Haven. She was recently named Woman of the Year by her Church. She is also active on a diocesan level having served or currently serving in several different leadership roles including the Mission Council, the ECCT Finance Committee, the Core Team of the Racial Healing, Justice & Reconciliation Ministry Network and the Bishop’s Transition Committee’s Liturgy Sub-Committee. She is a member of Tau Pi Phi National Honor Society in Accounting, Business and Economics and is a graduate of Albertus Magnus College in New Haven. Valarie lives in New Haven, has an adult son and daughter, and an infant grandson. Currently her greatest joy is being a full-time grannynanny!
